5 Ways to Take a Solo Trip Without Going Alone - Solo travel has become a hot topic. Unlike "single" trips, this is a broader group. That can include those who are single, married or have a partner / other important person. This may be a business person who wants to add a weekend vacation or an extension of work to work. Two stumbling blocks for solo trips are: I. Is it lonely to vacation as a "party one" and ii. Want to eat alone, or have dinner, really very uncomfortable.

I really like this approach when I travel. On a 17-day solo trip in the New Year, I toured in Southeast Asia. I started by using a private taxi in the city of Siem Reap, Cambodia., Cambodia. I then joined the Mekong River Cruise to Vietnam. In the last round, I had five days in 5-star hotels in Bangkok. At my last stop, I tried all 3 ways of walking: 1. Large bus tour 2. I have done this twice. My first trip out of the US was at 18 joining 5 other girls at the summer YMCA project in Trinidad and Tobago. That is the best way to learn about everyday life in other countries and participate in community activities.

The benefits are endless. They include:

-Viewing distant destinations and often more unusual

- Provide voluntary efforts for people who may have experienced natural disasters or other difficulties.
